New Dubai Hospital Design

Tobia Architects recently completed a conceptual design for a new 200-bed general hospital for InterHealthCanada in Dubai.  The design integrates open spaces and courtyards to provide light filled spaces and views to the outside shaded greenery and water areas.  Following international and local guidelines and best practices for medical planning, the three-storey building with a lower level includes patient units, an intensive care unit, operating theaters, an emergency department, an imaging department, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation services, clinical services, and support services.  Detailed design of the project will strive to adapt salutogenic design principles and WELL Building criteria.  Visit the project page for more images.
