As Physical Planner/ Architect with the State Organisation for Tourism/ Tourism et Hotelleire Iraq, Nadia Tobia participated in a number of tourism  projects, including:

  • Feasibility Studies and Master Plan of the Hassan Beg Ski Resort and Derbendikhan Lake Resort, two tourism villages in Kurdistan Iraq. The work included analysis of the tourism potential of the region, examination of human settlement development in the surrounding area, site analysis and capacity, transformation of the tourism market analysis into a space program, land use planning, and preliminary design.
  • Evaluation of the tourism potentials of the Marshland in south of Iraq for future development. A comprehensive study of the various aspects of the Marshland including the physical, environmental, economic and social sectors and their impact on the potential of tourism development in the region.
