As a Health Care Advisor to Al Bawani Contracting , the Toronto team of consultants, led by Nadia Tobia provided technical support to the client during the bidding process, including provision of architectural, interior design and engineering peer review services. Located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the project includes three key zones: medical, service and security. The main building components include the main medical centre building, a central pharmacy building, a regional laboratory building, a polyclinic building and a day surgery centre.
In addition to the medical facilities, the complex also includes several services and support buildings, a central administration facility, a conference centre, a grand mosque, a data centre, a central kitchen and catering laundry building, and a central mortuary. The peer-review team from Toronto included Crossey Engineering as MEP consultant, Entuitive as structural and building envelop consultant, Kaizen as food services consultant, and NXL as laboratory consultant.
